Good job on this one mate! Congrats on this work so far, how many you got left to go?

Small Potato:

I have 10 more to go.

Hey There,

Really want to use your site, but would like to change the picture. For some reason I cannot remove the “banner.jpg” from the codex. Any suggestions?

Yes - I am a BIG newby to this.

Thanks!

name the banner that you want to use: banner.jpg then place it in in the images folder to replace the current one.

I am using your Sleepy theme which I think looks great. Your code is very easy to alter for color, etc and I appreciate the hard work that you put into your themes. I have one question about using Text Widgets. I have Sidebar Widgets activated and when I try to add a Text Widget, It does not hold the color scheme of the rest of the sidebar. The background and text color do not hold the same as the rest of the widgets. You can see what I mean at my site if you wouldn’t mind checking it out and making a suggestion?

Thank you,
acravy

You’ll need to wrap the text within UL and LI tags.

Thank you very much for the help and the quick response. That solved it for me.

Is possible change colors?

It is possible. Use the style.css file.

Bob:

Hi Small Potato:

Thanks for the excellent themes. Quick question; how would I turn off the “Leave a Reply” at the bottom of each page? Is there a setting I can change somewhere, or do I need to modify the php files?

Bob

Yep. It’s in the comments.php file, but make sure you don’t delete the wrong stuff.

I use the sleepy theme but I’ve tweaked it a bit. I love it! The only problem I’ve having is the banner shows up when I view it from my computer but the area is blank when I check it on another computer in the household. Any idea what might cause this?

And thanks! Your themes totally rock!

I have no idea. What browser are you using for the computer that comes up blank?

They are both using IE 7

If there’s nothing different between the two computers then I really don’t know where I can help. Does it show up after refreshing?

I bet the banner image is hosted locally on the first computer.

Yes, refreshing constantly. I did finally realize something. When I’m on my own computer and I right click on the banner and select “save background as,” it shows as banner.jpg. On the other two computers in the house, it shows up as .gif. It’s the most bizzare thing I’ve seen. There is no .gif.

I don’t think it’s a local hosting issue, because I can see the files there in the directory when I’m on filezilla. However, I’m noticing more and more differences. On my computer there’s one of those little favorite icons from another theme I had activated previously, and when I make a post, I can see it on my computer but not on the others. It’s almost like there’s a file in there somewhere blocking them from seeing the changes. Not sure if we can post links here but:

Maybe I should take this to the forums?

You can try to clear your computer’s temporary files and cookies. Refresh and try to view your blog one more time.

I did that and found out there’s something in your original theme files - otherwise it’s their computers. I actually uninstalled wordpress, then reinstalled it, added sleepy, and found that the image of the road does not show up on the other two computers, although I can see it on mine. Also, when I right click that background image on their computers, it wants to call it .gif but it’s a .jpt. If you check soon, I’ll leave it up for awhile, maybe you can see it, I don’t know.

I also looked in
…wp-content/themes/sleepy-10/sleepy-10/images/

From my computer, the index shows banner.jpg but the other computers simply cannot see it. We’re all on one network with the same exact setups including same browsers. Bizarro.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I finally figured out the problem. The file name “banner.jpg” and .gif for that matter, cannot be seen from those other computers, either on the page or in the index. The fix was very simple - change the name of the image to header.jpg, then go into the stylesheet and change it there (next to #banner). Voila! Don’t know if you want to change that in your files, but I suspect some browsers (Mozilla tested the exact same as IE) have a reservation for files named “banner.”

Glad you got that sorted it out, but I still don’t get why banner.jpg was a problem and there is no .gif file for the banner area.

This is the first time I’ve heard of this problem. “Bizarro.” :)

I’m having trouble getting thumbnails for uploads to appear. They appear in individual posts, but not on the main page. Suggestions?

That doesn’t have anything to do with the theme. Are you looking at the front page or the archive pages? The archive pages doesn’t display images by default because it’s simply displaying excerpts.

If you don’t want it to display excerpts only, go in archive.php and change the_excerpt to the_content.

For other questions, please use the Wpdesigner support forums. Thank you.

That did it! Thanks!

I love, love, love this theme. I spent HOURS looking through the themes on wordpress.com, and this one is great–it’s so easy to customize and just generally really attractive. Thank you!

i’m now a fan. congratulations! I put in a header image above the top menu in my site, see? it’s great for editing. I like the name too.. ’sleepy”

sleppy theme very good thanks or sleppy theme 2.0 version what relase my english bad sorry??

I never thought I would find myself using a colored theme for my photoblog, but here I am using Sleepy. I’ll admit that I installed it with the intention of changing the yellow to a dark grey, but it just works out so well…

Thanks for this one. It’s great.

Hello,

I am absolutely in love with this theme, but I seem to have a problem.
When I edit the sidebar i use the and tags and it looks perfect in chrome and firefox. But when you look at the website in IE it’s all messed up.
Any idea how to fix this?
