Wpdesigner Blog Review Series

In the previous post, I started a new review series by first reviewing Problogger.net. I wasn’t reviewing the blog as a whole. I focused on design and performance.
The whole post pointed out design and performance flaws that Darren can fix for Problogger; flaws that you can fix for your own blog. I didn’t mean to disrespect Problogger; it’s a great blog.
And I admit, Wpdesigner.com has its own flaws; no blog is perfect. I’m just too lazy to fix them. Also, unlike what Shawn suggested, I’m not afraid that you’ll expose Wpdesigner’s flaws, like I’ve done with Problogger. In fact, I encourage you to review Wpdesigner.

I don’t have a comment on this particular post but I just wanted you to know when I logged into WordPress this morning to write my post I saw that there was a new theme, Neo-Sapien, yours, so I wanted you to know that I am using it today and telling people that you designed it and that they can get to your site from mine.

The only crit I really have for wpdesigner is the clutter. (to me.) I think the categories and archives are a bit too much for the front page. I think lengthening the theme thumbnails section and just having that available would make the front page much more pleasant. And have the single page template remove the theme thumbnails and add the categories and archives area.
But all of that is more of an personal opinion.
I’d also suggest more meta information. At least “revisit-after” and “description”.

By the way SP. You might want to think about adding a search bar. Since you are adding up the posts a lot and have quite a bit of useful info available.
