WPDesigner Next Phase

Finally, a new version of Wpdesigner.com will launch next week. Below is a photo of the home-page wireframe / layout (for you nosy people).

Recently, Wpdesigner.com had a facelift. It doesn’t make sense to redesign again, unless Wpdesigner will go through some big changes. This is not simply a redesign.

If you want to know what changes and additions are upcoming, read the news and updates.

What's Next?

Just out of curiousity, do you have any more pictures of your hand drawings? Those are interesting and I’d love to see like a WP theme from its very beginning stages before it goes to say Photoshop etc.

I don’t have any other ones. I usually throw them away.

You should save them!!!

I note you’ll be helping people keep tabs on your blog.

It’s interesting that you design in portrait layout, although most monitors display in landscape format – and most blogs need visitors to scroll to see the entire page.

Do you think the old layout rules regarding maximum page length will fade away as blogs take over from static sites?

Looks like a really nice design, man. Good luck with it!

@Dean – I hope it functions well too!

@Freesitebuilder – I didn’t know there’s a rule on page length. If there is a rule or ideal length, it should vary from site to site, depending on the site’s purpose.

When I design or wireframe on paper, the result doesn’t reflect the actual widths and lengths.

I think a good idea could be to place rss and atom feeds in the footer. Many users search them there.

It’s good to do not change the white background layout.

Okay, I think I’m out of Akismet’s wrath now. For some reason they were blocking my comments. We’ll see if this works.

I mentioned when I tried to post a comment before that you should definitely keep your old sketches, like Nocturnal said. It’s interesting to see how a design comes into being.

THAT is awesome. I wanna see it live. I’m sure you’ll pull it off perfectly. Now I must wait. *visits everyday from now on* xD

Wait your new themes!

so thats how web designers start off with creating a web page.. very interesting.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who sketches first before touching the computer. Traditional techniques work everywhere.
