It’s here!
It’s been more than 10 hours since I last ate and 20 hours since I woke up yesterday morning. Right now is 4:50 AM.
The next phase is here!
Some things, here and there, aren’t complete yet, especially the comments template. There’s nothing I can do now, but sleep. If you spot any errors, post it here. I’ll fix it tomorrow. Good night.

nice!
2 minutes back i saw old design… and now… when i came back.. here it is!
nice job!
sleep well.
Nice ^^
Really like it : clean, simple, and quit
Nice Work !
Dude that’s some kickass theme you have here. You really nailed it with the rounded corners and the tabs.
Well I guess from now on I gotta jump through the feed to read your stuff here. Really good looking theme and easy on the eyes.
Good job!
This is great friend and kudos. your skills can never be judged by any designer.
Great and very nice design friend.
Wow, SP. This new theme is amazing, seriously. It’s got so much style and class! Like you said, I’d put a little more style into the comments template but this theme is rockin’!
SP,
Looks great man! Definitely has that expression engine feel. One small detail, and I’m not sure if this is purposeful or not, but the active tab in the top seems to be shifted up a pixel or two. Maybe take a look. I’m seeing this is FF-Mac.
Nathan
Fantastic work, fella! This is a beautiful theme and well worth all the effort.
Now go and get yourself some sleep!
Wow looks nice and Clean
but i find the search box a bit too big.
Great job. Very clean and organized. Kudos to you! Sleep well
Lovely! I’ve been eagerly awaiting the big reveal. Fabulous work you’re doing here. ^_^
OMG..really great! i like these
Thanks for the compliments. I hope my future themes will receive the same warm welcome.
Today, I’ll style the comments template, post new content, and start working on a new public theme.
@Nathan - Could you take a screenshot for me?
Yay, it’s quite nice!
SP,
The site otherwise looks fantastic.
sorry about the delay. I forgot to subscribe to comments
I uploaded an image to my server. Take a look. It’s not a huge deal, but if you’re a perfectionist, it might bother you

Thanks Nathan. That 1 pixel does bother me :). It looks like it’s not just the top nav bar, but the bottom nav bar too.
I think it’s the DIV CLASS=”CLEAR” that I used to in between each section of the layout.
Amazing new design. I’m glad to see a search bar front and center.
I’d suggest used the standard feed icon. Since thats what most people will see and recognize.
Finally it comes!
So far,so good!
Hi, your site looks great [ been lurking here for some time now ].
Anyway, I would like to ask you if it’s possible to make a port of the “Phokus” theme for Typo to WordPress ? I would do it myself if I knew how . . .
http://phonophunk.com/typo-themes/
http://www.typosphere.org/
I like new design a lot. Only thing I am worried about is navigation structure. Looks like your free themes are on same page as other authors themes. You should have your own page.
And yes, none of images and download links of your themes are working.
Thanks for spotting that Marko. It’s not that the links and images aren’t working. It’s because the rest of the theme entries on the archives page don’t have customized excerpt messages. Click on one of them to go to its full page with working links and images.
Update: Ok, it’s fixed to show everything now.
A few ideas SP, just for usability - (it’s just my opinion)
I don’t think there is any need for “skip to content”. It’s deceiving, and makes the user think he’s not on the page where the content is; but he is.
Too much above the fold. The fact that you can’t see the headline of your most recent post above the fold means it’s not user-friendly.
The above point leads to another issue. Your site loads fast which is excellent. However, if I’m at the top of your homepage and I click on “Tutorial” (for eg), I have no idea when the page loads. The ‘viewable’ content doesn’t change, so if I wasn’t watching the browser loading bar, I think my click hasn’t registered, so I try again. If I could see the content above the fold, I wouldn’t have this problem.
Even though the search bar is huge, a user could easily miss it. Search bars should be to one side, preferably near the top.
As someone else has mentioned, RSS needs the recognisable button. “Feed me” is a very ‘blog about blogging’ term that many thousands wouldn’t understand.
And a link to read the comments at the bottom of the post is a must I think too.
Just my thoughts SP
Thanks Armen. The skip content link is not for regular users that can scroll. It’s for users that use tabbing to move through the page. I don’t them to have to tab through all the navigation links to get to the content.
I’m okay with the headlines appearing under the fold because the focus should be on the three latest themes, but not realizing there’s more to each page is a bit of a problem. I have to think that over.
For the RSS link, I will change it.
As for the search bar, I’ll keep it there because it’s closer to the content.
I thought the comments link at the top would be more convenient because if you wanted to read the whole thing, including comments, you just click on it. So you naturally keep on reading and then scroll back up for the comments link?
It is natural (for me at least), to read down through a post on the homepage. When I get to the bottom of the latest post, I’ll either want to “continue reading” (because they’ve inserted the more tag), read the comments, or just continue on down the page.
If I want to read the comments, I don’t think I should have to scroll back up the page.
How about using two comment links? One at the top and one at the bottom?
SP,
I think having 2 links would be good. Satisfies everybody
Nathan
I change the RSS button to orange and it’s link title to “Subscribe by RSS.” There are, now, two comments link, one at the top and one at the bottom.
For the viewable content problem, I made the theme thumbnails appear on the front page only. For sub pages, you’re now able to see the headline and recognize that you’re on a different page :).
Definately more user friendly SP. Nice work my friend.
Maybe you’d like to give me some tips? I’d appreciate it if you have the time.
