Make Your Blog Stand Out, Use Overlapping Tabs
Nowadays, horizontal menu tabs are everywhere. How do you make your tabs stand out from the rest? Make them overlap.
Take Wpdesigner current design for example. It took a while to get the tabs to overlap, but the effect is well worth it.

Analyze this example to learn how to achieve that effect. If that example is too difficult for you, stay tuned for the upcoming Wpdesigner WordPress tutorial, which will show you how to create a theme from scratch and how to create tabs that overlap, in details.
If you’re not familiar with horizontal menus, learn how to at css.maxdesign.com.au. Then head over to AListApart.com for the sliding door technique (pretty up your menu with sliding background images).

Brilliant idea. Thanks for very interesting post. btw. I really enjoyed reading all of Your posts. It’s interesting to read ideas, and observations from someone else’s point of view… makes you think more. Keep up the good work. Greetings
Great point; overlapping (and any kind of well-styled) tabs make the user experience feel much more interactive.
Looking forward to this tutorial.
Good tutorial. I’ve always found overlapping tabs rather difficult. I recently attempted overlapping tabs with drop-downs here: http://www.macgen.com.au/ – lotsa hair-pulling.
A great piece of advice: list your css rules in alphabetical order – saved me from overlooking duplicate rules in the same definition many a time
This Websize is very nice CSS Based Designed. Gratulation Goood.
That tutorial should be interesting.
