Sketch: Greed WordPress Theme

It’s been almost three months since the last Wpdesigner theme release. I’m coming back to creating free WordPress themes with a theme series called, Seven Deadly Sins. Greed will be the first to be release. As you can see, Greed will have ten sidebars, if not eleven.
Mmm…10 or 11 sidebars – overkill perhaps?

I am sensing that you have the big picture in mind with this project. I can really see some great buzz coming in relation to your concept. Hats Off already. I will be following your success with this project. I am also working to implement my plan on blogging and who knows maybe you can design my long term blog?

Let’s see; asides, miniblog, sidebar blog, ads, calendar, about me, pages, links, categories, directories, blegging, news aggregators, events, rss feeds, stats, category clouds, tag clouds, social networks, Atom feeds, chat, forum, quotations, comics. You sure 11 sidebars will be enough?
Now that I think of it, the WordPress sidebar theme. A WordPress theme composed entirely of sidebars.
Thats pretty cool looking. Can’t wait to see the finished thing. Looks like something I might wanna use. xD
I assume you’re making each sidebar widget-ready. I can’t stand having more than three or four things going on in the sidebar on my own site, but I think this will be neat. I’m looking forward to seeing how all seven themes turn out.
Also glad to see you’re back to releasing public themes. And, thanks for updating with the sketch. As I’ve mentioned before, I love seeing how other designers create a theme from conception to the finished product.
I like this theme. It works very well in my home computer monitor (1024×768), and I can check the whole whitout using the scroll.
Anyway I think the sidebars should be a little smaller, to fit well also in 800×600 monitors. Or maybe the sidebar on the right should be resized for monitors with this resolutions.

Runa – I’m thinking about making it fluid, but it’s no use to fit five sidebars within 800×600.

I love the themed idea. Something I wish I’d have come up with. Greed should contain a lot of space for adsense. hehe.
So this is how it’s done, I have always wanted to know how the pre-production were made.
