Beta Release: Greed WordPress Theme

For those that voted for Wpdesigner.com, I’m sending you the beta (test) version of Greed, today. If I miss anyone, please let me know.

Greed is a fixed-fluid width, three-column to five-column hybrid WordPress theme with ten widget-ready sidebars. So far, I’ve run into only one problem and it’s not a theme problem. It’s a WordPress problem. The WordPress Sidebar Widgets management page can’t seem to correctly display more than four widget-ready sidebars. But don’t worry, it’s only a display problem; you can use all ten sidebars.

To place items in the sidebars 5 to 10, drag your item and use the FORWARD keyboard arrow at the same time.

Note: This beta release does not include plugin support / integrations and theme options.

The theme previewer is not installed. I also want to give the beta-testers some time to play with it first.

Does it come with header image? I think one of the most sought after feature of a theme is header images, I’ve tested that myself. I was having a theme with no header image, which was indeed good and many asked for the header image option which when I implemented really boosted people trying it out.

It does come with the header image, which will be changeable through the theme options page.

Thanks for the download - I just installed it and am previewing it before I add it live. I do have a problem with my custom pages adding the sidebars. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am running Greed live now. I did change the theme colors a bit and the banner image. I really like it. Can’t wait for the full release!
