Theme Description
The second release of the Seven Deadly Sins series, Pride is a three-column, fixed-width theme, compatible with WordPress 2.0.x, 2.1.x, and 2.2.
Although it seems graphic intensive, Pride is a lightweight theme. Excluding the heavy footer background image, Pride uses less than 9kb of images. There are instructions in the readme.txt file on how to switch to a less heavy footer background image.

Author’s Note
I’m jealous of bloggers that get to use this theme. The only thing that’s stopping me from using Pride for Wpdesigner.com is the need to keep Wpdesigner’s unique design.

Looking great, colours work really well!
Hey Matt, thanks for dropping by. WebRev is a great looking site. I just read The Web 2.0 Cliche article. You’ve got another subscriber :).

Well aint you proud of yourself?
BTW, where is “Envy” on your list of themes to do?
Great theme, I’ve been looking forward of using it since i saw the sketch, today or tomorrow I’ll be using it on my blog.
Good luck with the Seven Sins!
Looks awesome, SP. Great job.
Your continued excellence to design and code keeps us coming back for more!
Thanks for your generous contributions!
Great theme, the colours are well uniformed
but that dank green colour some kind make the theme have an old look and atmosphere.
obviously all ways keep-need the unique. Nice done SP
so the next can have custom fields to display theme thumbnails with excerpts……..ready.
Pride have a nice skelleton.
Love the page design.
Especially love the block quote sample.
When i wanted to change my theme. Your Pride will be my number 1 choice.
Cheers to Pride. Happy Newborn!!
Well… look at me… I’m using Pride.
Just can’t wait. Did it.
another great piece sp, love what you did with the shade
of blue in the end of each post…kind of smooth…the text typo usage are just great..clear and easy to read..:P
Oh, one more comment.
Do you think you could make your next theme that has some similarity as QWLIM! 0.3.
I love the part where it can change from three-column into one-column depending on the screen size of each readers.
If it’s possible, a tutorial on this too.~{please}~
Just gorgeous! I installed it in my hubby’s blog.
BTW, if you ever tire of your current theme, will you consider releasing it for public use?
nice theme.
do u make custom themes also
@Connie - I don’t know. There’s a lot of hard coded stuff within Wpd’s current design. It’s not suitable for public release.

Ooohhh. Well, we still have the rest of the 7 deadly sins to look forward to anyway.
And… The Supreme Theme, of course.
Great theme SP. Thanks for your work!!!
Hi,
Great theme, thanks for your hard work.
I am seeing a problem when viewing the theme in IE6.0
Screenshot:
http://www.experience-florida.co.uk/images/ss.jpg
Any ideas how I can fix this?
It’s actually not a permanent problem. If you scroll past that area again and again, it’ll fix itself (display correctly).
Yes, I just noticed that, but it doesn’t look good does it - readers will mention it I am sure.
Any solution?
Nope
I’m planning on using this for a cooking blog for a friend of mine. It kind of has that recipe card kind of vibe to it. Thanks!
Well, I mean, it is IE6 we’re talking about here
Great design though! It looks great here in Firefox!
Hello, Small Potato. Could you please convert this three-column theme to a two-column one? Anyway, you did do a great job, thanks.
there is still a bug, that is if the hpyerlink is too long, it will go beyond the boundary.
please see the following links:

After the Italian, here is the french translation : wordpress-tuto.fr
I like this theme. A question about the text widgets though:
How do I center the text in the box and why don’t the bottom corners look rounded like the other widgets when I use a text widget?
You have use the UL tags around the text, within the text widget.
It looks there is something wrong with it:Drag the scroll window when every article corresponding to the background as the bottom will be hidden and concealed

I was hoping you might put a little more effort into fixing the IE compatibility. It’s not an IE 6 problem, as I have 7 and it happens there as well.
However, it doesn’t happen on the sidebar, so it seems to me that it’s possible to fix.
If you do decide to put the time into perfecting this small display issue, please let me know so I can patch it.
Your themes are wonderful, I’m excited to see the next sin.

thanks

To apex,
yes, I found the same problem
To Small Potato,
If you click the ‘Categories’ on the sidebar, you will find that the hyperlinks in the original article have gone away. This is a big bug. I hope you can fix it. Thanks.
Can you post this at the forums and show me?
…Oh! I get what you’re saying now. The category pages aren’t suppose to display links. They’re displaying excerpts of your posts. I meant to do that. If you want to change it back. It’s a simple fix. Go in archive.php, change the_excerpt to the_content.
Great theme. I used it for a blog my daughters put together for the summer (http://sistersinblog.com). I changed the colors and split the sidebars so they flanked the content section. For easy theme to modify and I learned a bunch during the modification process.

The problem is solved,

Small Potato,
How are u this is my first time doing any of this so I might ask silly questions. I attempted to down load this and when I got the file it was a zip file so I attempted to extract as it had giving me this option.
But what do I do from there. It’s not letting me do anything, and I would love to laern how start all of this. I KNow nothing
You’ll need to download and install a program like WinZip or Winrar to extract. There are many free zip programs out there.
After unzipping, follow the instructions in the readme.txt file to install your theme.
If you have further questions, please use the Wpdesigner forums.

Hi SP
I love this theme and have been using it for a few months. i am trying to change the Pages on the theme whereby the Page width is different from the main post widths. I have taken the sidebars out of the Pages but now need to change the width
I have been pulling my hair out trying to fix this with CSS but to no avail. can you help with this.
Regards
Steve
Steven - Sorry, I can’t help you with customizations. It sounds like your best bet is to look into using custom Page templates.
Hi SP, this is a beautiful theme. Under theme description, I know you list that it is WP 2.2 compatible. Does it support WP 2.3 tagging as well or would it need a plugin for that?
Nice theme!
I don’t know where to begin fixing it.
“I did notice a small issue with the text widgets. The bottom image does not seem to appear to complete the box as seen here:
http://www.readersrevenge.com/PrideTheme.jpg

Wrap the text in tags and you will get it to look nice. Ive had to do this for a number of text, php and premade widgets.
BTW, awesome theme, ive been using it for months. any chance of it being updated to 2.3?
Dave
I think you can simply add tags to the category listing to make it really a 2.3 theme.
I figured the ul & /ul tags would be stripped.
Thats for the info SP.
the ul tags in the sidebar?
Yes. To get your nifty sidebar look on txt, php, etc widgets I have had to wrap the “code” in ul tags. If I do not do this I just get a square cornered box and not the neet rounded ones you created.
Isn’t it good practice to use ul tags for text widgets anyway? It keeps your widget aligned with the typical structure of most themes.
I agree, I just wanted to address the one users issue above.
Proud of you to offer great WP theme. But having problem in IE 6
