Sandbox Skins
WordPress is moving closer to style (CSS) only themes. I’m starting this continually updated list to anticipate the influx of demand and supply for Sandbox skins as it looks like Sandbox is going to be the default template for later WordPress versions.
It’s important to understand that the following are skins only, not complete WordPress themes. Use the skins below with your Sandbox theme.

the skins/themes distinction isn’t really a big difference. you can put
in the comment at the start of
, and they become themes. you can use functions.php to add options, widgets, custom headers, add javascript via
and footer info via
. tons of stuff.
also, unsleepable is no longer supported, for that very reason. as a skin, it was cool. as a theme, it competes with ben gray’s original, which i have no intention of doing.
you should aslo check out the skins from http://ntuat.wordpress.com
Thanks Adam - I’ll try to index all the skins. How’s the Sndbx competition going for you? You’re entering two skins?
Edit: I wanted to make sure that people know they’ll be downloading styles and images only, not complete themes.
that makes sense. although if the defaultification does indeed happen, most designers will be doing the template thing. you can see an example in my bus full of hippies port, and The Thin Line.
in theory, i’ll be entering 2. one is entered. the other one was supposed to be quick, but the complexity is spiraling upward. combined with my ever-busier schedule, it may be finished sometime circa wordpress 3.
By the time you finish the second one, I’d be a big potato so hurry up with it man.
Allowing designers to add custom headers and footers is interesting. Sandbox becoming the default template makes more sense now. Heh, I don’t have anymore excuses to not check out Sandbox this week.
I like the unsleepable skin. It’s very clean and spiffy.
jenny, you can download the unsleepable theme here: http://openswitch.org/unsleepable/
