Does Small Potato read your blog? You might be surprised…
If you’ve commented on this blog, chances are I’ve read and bookmarked your blog. Unlike many millions of bloggers, I don’t use RSS to get content. I go to your site to get it. Most of the times, I’ll skim through the latest posts to find what I would be interested in, to comment.
Am I reading your blog? Here’s my current list of reader blogs:
- Head Set Options
- Meridian Crest
- Shankar Ganesh
- archGFX
- Web Revolutionary
- Clazh (Arpit Jacob)
- Blogosquare
- Bob Meets World

If you’re not on that list then it’s because you haven’t updated your blog for a long time. Other than that reason, why aren’t you on my list? I’m always looking for new stuff to read. Drop me a comment. Let me check out your blog.

Thank you! I’m glad to have you as part of my new community.
Your feedback and suggestions have been instrumental in my blog’s ever blooming success.
Thanks SP - I’m honoured to be on your shortlist!
Great idea for a post too actually…
I agree - nice idea for a post and thanks for the mention. I’ve always appreciated your great content. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my little hole in the blogosphere!
Randa - Your blog is not so little. It’s climbing the blogosphere just like mine :).
Nice post Small Potato!
There’s a few blogs in that list I was familiar with, but there are several I was not aware of.
I’m pretty new to the WoWP (World of Wordpress), I’m a refugee from a competing system, but sites like yours are helping me awaken from my 2 year comma away from the web design world.
Thanks for doing what you do. It helps people like me open our eyes after too long being blind.
I do read your entertaining posts, especially that one about you throwing in the towel. That really got me there, that joke.
I just started on a blog after my users started telling me it would be helpful.
I’m really thankful for your quadruple blue template.
Just saying thanks.
One reason not to list a blog would be it’s language
hey there thanks, I been your regular reader for a long time but haven’t been commenting much :). Most of the people in your list are there in my RSS Reader. I found a few new ones though.
Thanks for the mention.
I use RSS to stay informed. While that usually means that one wouldn’t visit the sites they read, that’s not true with Netvibes - you can subscribe to feeds and actually see the sites right next to the feed. It’s really awesome, I highly recommend it. (www.netvibes.com)
Thanks my friend, you can count me as a regular reader of your blog hence forward!
Thanks for the positive responses. I just wanted to give a little link love to my commenters. Thank you guys for keeping this blog look lively.
Wooohooo! I’m on your list
Thanks Small Potato!
I read yours faithfully too hehee.
new design (finally) goes up tonight and then (finally) I can just worry about (finally) writing/content
oh wow i’m honored to be on your list… thanks SP
You’re not on my list! Anyway only my last post is in english…
nevermind
@Brian - Nevermind what?
For those of you not on the list, if you’ve made a comment, I’ll spend some time to check out your site on the weekend. I’m busy today and tomorrow. Sorry :).
I’ve got a personal blog at http://www.shyzer.com that I update a few times a week. It has nothing to do with design though…in fact, it doesn’t have much to do with anything
Thanks, I’m really honoured to be in that list

I really love the content over here, very unique and very useful. Keep it up, SP
You rock!
Hi,
my site is not on your list….
My blog is updated atleast once in 3 days with come of the latest design, resources…..
please review my site too
thanks
Thanks for dropping by Navin. I’ll check it out soon.
SP - ‘nevermind’ that I said I would get my new design up yesterday and seven hours later or whatever it was, it didn’t happen - but this weekend - for sure (?)
I assume you had a look at mine some time ago, and decided it wasn’t for you. No biggie.
I visit your bolg because I like what you do, and the help you provide others. You know how to communicate, and in today’s world that is a rare skill.
OK - new design up - 50% implemented (I guess) in terms of layout, plugins, all that stuff - and do I have a comment avatar now? (only way to find out is to post this …)
You mean you actually don’t read my blog? O_o
Haha, just kidding. Hope you find my content interesting.
Brian - Immediately, I love the logo. I also like the post titles, easy to spot where each post begins.
Alan - I did try to read your blog. The main problem was that I couldn’t scan through the posts. The long posts with no bold highlights make it very hard to keep my attention in the morning.
Ali - Your blog covers a lot of different niches. I can’t always get the topics I want and don’t know what to expect from you in the next post. That’s why I don’t come back often.
SP,
As I said, it’s not for you. I tend to write at length, and my prose can get a bit dense. I don’t write for everybody, I write for myself and publish it on the web for those people who are interested in the kind of stuff I’m interested in.
You? You’re interested in design. On this blog of yours you write about WordPress theme design and implementation. That has an audience. A bigger audience than what I write about. And frankly, you deserve that popularity.
Don’t feel obligated to read every commentor’s blog, not all of them are going to be worth your time, and not all are going to be about topics you’re interested in. Blogging and reading blogs really shouldn’t be a chore.
I don’t feel obligated to read every blog :). Actually, I bookmark blogs instead of subscribing to their feeds so I can force myself to keep the number of blogs down.
Check out my blog if you get a chance. I read your quite faithfully and am trying to incorporate some of what I’ve learned.
Thanks,
Rourke
heya..thanks for including mua at the list SP
great list of blog site you got here…just browse through each of them and still half way down
yeap..i don’t usually subscribes to feeds too…i just bookmark a cool place or put in it my blogroll so i can one-click visit when i’m at my homepage..
navin raj’ dezinerfolio is in one of my list too..great web2.0 stuff i found there from time to time..downloaded his layer style a while back…
now..where’s the emoticon for big thanks
Wow! Thank you for adding me in your list. I just saw it today. It’s been a while since I was online. I just got home from the hospital. This is great!
Thanks again.
small potato,
I am alpha testing a new theme.
http://heartdaughter.com/blogs/elijah/
Its fluid, supports 800×600. Please notice the additional text when doing searches that lets the user know what cat, tag, or search term was used, at the top of each message excerpt.
also.. I intentionally designed it based on tables. I have read many of the advice on css vs tables and I choose to buck the experts.
LOL

I couldn’t find my site on your list.. but no wonder since I rarely comment here. I don’t know what to say, really. Usualy somebody’s already said it. But I will try harder.. no doubt about it!
Hey Ernie, I just bookmarked your blog.
ladynada - Tables? Ah! *runs*
I keep a keen eye on what you say over here, SP, and I used one of your themes for a while over at Hamelife. You helped me out with a design problem - I really appreciated it.
Recently I was advised to separate my subjects, so I launched a new blog called Clean Cut Blog. I think it was very good advice.
I love your themes and am switching over to them for 2 of my blogs.
A mile in my Birks
Marathon Dreams
I’m trying to tweak them a bit so I’m sure there will be a few comments from me to follow.
Small Potato,
Now forget about the tables, how do you like it, other than that?
GRIN

The content area is clear and easy to follow. Other than that, the design is not my taste :).
Thanks for stopping by Adria. I bookmarked http://www.chezadria.com/.
Edit: @Rory - Sorry I missed your comment. Hamelife’s bookmarked

Hi… I found your site while searching for a new wordpress theme… I actually have 4 sites… I like the one I’m using at my main site, No Credit Needed (which I linked to)… but I’m thinking about upgrading one or two of the others…
NCN
Thank you for the mention and stopping by, i appreciate it
Cool post, thanx for sharing the list. Albeit, the problem many face is that they learn a lot but they never take it into practice.
What a shame we’re not on the list yet!
Hey,
Check out my blog about entrepreneurship, making money, and just general interesting business tips. I hope you enjoy.
I sure will
[…] I linked to a list of blogs and asked whether your blog was on that list. Here’s the semi-follow-up to that post, […]
I’ve been reading off and on for the past couple months. Huh. I thought I subscribed ot yourt feed, but I guess not. Do now though.
I also run Wordpress MU at http://homeschooljournal.net. If I don’t already use a theme of yours there, it’s in the waiting list to be added.
I don’t talk enough about the techie side of me on my own blog (it’s family-focused), but I have been thinking of doing a tech blog of my own.
Hi,
This week I folowed your excelent tuorial on WordPress Themes. I came over here to thank you. So thanks you very much indeed. I used the tutorial files as a starting template to come up what I now have.
I was just about to comment in the tutorial section when I noticed that there are already two comments from me in there. I’ve got no idea how this happened. I certainly didn’t post them myself. I’ve a feeling it has something to do with my linking from my site to yours.
Not a problem, just cureous.
