6 Over The Top Blog Designs

When you think of blog designs, you think of simple, rounded corners with nice little gradient buttons for navigation. This list will show you the other side of blog design and show you where to find design talents.
Woah… I really liked the 1st and the 4th design. This has inspired me.

Those designs were not all made for specific sites. I did link to the original page or the version with the best quality. DeviantArt is a great place to find talented graphic designers. That was the point.
Thanks SP..been looking around css gallery for some inspiration but this one really hit me
deviant designer are really talented..some of them merely design it for fun and don’t even code the template they made..

What’s the point linking to deviant art instead of the extensive portfolio of keithar and gizcore?
e.g. the Miasto Fantastyki site is online.
Milo - I’m showcasing their designs, not their sites and portfolios. All links on this list lead to Deviant Art pages because those are the ones that most likely will stay the same.
What if Gizcore redesign his portfolio? What’s the point then? And I’m aware the Miasto Fantastyki site is online, but it isn’t using the design I’m featuring is it?
those designers do really know how to use photoshop or even illustrator
I’d like to know how long they took to make.
Just for comparisons sake. I like to mess around with typography more than anything myself, trying to find the best ways of communicating text.
These are beautiful designs, but I can’t help thinking they take FOREVER to load.

Wow! these design are wild, a bit too much for me. The first is superb and the pink Glassy looks like it is ready for all those celeb/britney/paris type blogs out there. Great stuff.

Unfortunately I don’t get much choice as I am using the free wordpress service - I will have to go hosted one day I guess but as my blog is page ranked 5 I don’t really want to lose that.

1st, 2nd and 6th ones catch my attention. Yes, I agree that D.E. is an excellent resource. I go there for inspiration all the time.

This really gives me an incentive to try to learn graphics, off sourcing is getting pretty expensive these days. Cool post anyway.
I have to agree with goldcaster on this one. I’m not a big fan of this type of works. Minimalism is better.

Just like the title of this post, the designs are beautiful, but over the top.
The small businesses I work with wouldn’t be that “open minded” to accept such designs, unfortunately.
But they are surely an inspiration!
