Pink for October WordPress Themes
“Web sites will Go Pink during the month of October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research.”
Not everyone is able to make the switch to pink. Fortunately, there are generous theme authors out there providing pink WordPress themes specifically for Pink for October (P4O).

For me, I’m participating by making this post and learning more about breast cancer. I’m not going to make the color scheme switch because pink is very hard the eyes. However, if you would like to see Wpdesigner in pink then click on the pink square at the top right hand corner of Wpdesigner’s design.

Looks good! Thanks for sharing

Hi SP, nice list – and I appreciate the mention.
Great list, and it’s good to know peoples care about Breast Cancer
i’m kind of surprised that this thing’s happening again, since it has so little tangible benefit. nonetheless, I have a pink theme available as well, and there are plenty more on the theme viewer.
@Adam – I share the same view. Switching your site to pink doesn’t do much good if you don’t compel people to learn more about this subject.
Other than raising awareness, for me, this post serves as a personal reminder to learn and help others.
@adam, “tangible benefit” in a fight against cancer can mean many things. When many of you helped us turn sites orange and maroon last April, people said the same thing – “… this really doesn’t do anything”. It does.
It means a lot to those suffering and those surviving.
There are a ton of talented people who visit this site and you are all in a unique position to be able to do something that is a little silly when you get right down to it, but there is no doubt that something like this does have a “tangible benefit”.
Another website with a pink theme is http://www.modeblog.nl although this is not a public theme.
My site has gone pink too – not with a new theme, rather a heavily modified version of my existing one.
Going pink does help educate and raise awareness – personally I enjoyed the excuse to shake things up a bit at my site.

great idea!!
by making this post people learn more about breast cancer and they will care about breast cancer.
I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I am 47 years old. I still don’t know how radical the surgery I need will be.
1 out of 9 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Early detection is the best way to save lives.
Anyone who doesn’t see the point of Breast Cancer Awareness month does not have a mother, a sister, a wife, or a daughter. In fact, 5% of breast cancer fatalities are MEN, who don’t realise they are at risk, and don’t think to be tested, until it’s too late.
I’m looking for a tasteful pink-ribbon/breast cancer themed skin, for the blog I am writing, about this journey. I don’t want it to say ‘October’ on it, because as of last week, breast cancer became a full-time issue for me.
I intend to put logos and links to every relevant charity, in the US, UK, EU, and if there are international charities, on the pages of my blog. Also links to self-examination instruction websites. I’ve been doing self-examinations since I was a teenager. I never thought it would happen to me… but nobody does.
These pink blog pages are much more important than you have no idea! Thanks to everyone who has made one.
great theme and i will try it in my blogs
