Gossip’s New Design Direction

After throwing away countless concepts (I’ve been frustrated with this theme for weeks), here’s what I have and what I’m going to stick with:
(The left sidebar is for style points only. I might create a separate version with no left sidebar.)
Right now, what you see is the basic style, layout, menu, photos area, main content, and sidebars. I still have to create, style, and finalize the following elements: logo, blog description, search form, sub menu, header, comments template, alphabetical celebrity name listing template, footer, etc., and etc.
There’s a lot more to this theme than what you see in the preview. I wanted to post the complete design. However, I’m not finished and I haven’t updated this blog for about a week so I’ll have to leave you with only a preview until I have time to come back to designing and blogging.

They just doesn’t seem to fit with the layout.

@Brian – Although the other version was more stylish, this one fits the theme I’m trying to create. I also don’t like the menu that much. I’ll work on it.

SP, nice one, I was looking forward to that accordion style one you showed a while ago, what happened to that? I like the simplicity of this one. I also like the photo caption idea, do these link to specific posts or categories?
It would be great if you added custom fields for the posts.

As for a gossip-themed site, the look is a move to the right direction I think. It does give a stronger feel compared to the previous design.
I’m actually very curious about the alphabetical celebrity name listing template, looking forward to learn how it’s done

I’m into it, sometimes less is more, and in this case, that statement is true. Two things, if you are looking for advice, which you probably aren’t, but I’m going to offer it anyways: 1. The pink sucks, I’d definately change it, or relaese this with other templates. I get it, Celebrity Gossip, girl talk, therefore pink, but it’s not working for me. 2. The left sidebar…. I’d drop it. It’s out of place, it’s just kind of there, not feeling it. Otherwise I like the cleanliness of it all, the simplicity, the girdish style. it’s nice.

Sorry guys, Gossip will not be a free theme. As far as how you can get your hands on this theme… I haven’t finalized what I want to do with it. Right now, I’m focused on simply creating a good looking design.

You seem to always use the same tab style menu on top, the colors are horrible. The pink screams Perez Hilton was here!

Ooh, love the pink and blue.
Hope the small sidebars below the 300×250 adbox can fit 160×600 banner ads. 
That sucks that it wont be a free theme.
