Music Theme Design Preview

This is a dark design so the preview image above doesn’t really do the design justice in terms of details. Especially for future themes club members, this is your chance to let me know what you like and don’t like about this one.
Color-wise, it’s simple. Obviously, I went with red to make it pop, but you can easily switch out the red if you have the .psd file, which you will.
At this point, I’m finished with the background and basic structure. Next is adding more graphics (music images) and the final touches.
This theme/design does not come with photos used in the preview. They’re placeholders.

PRETTY!
You always have the simple, clean, and marvelous theme!!! can’t wait for the theme club. is there any magazine theme?
Hello Small Potato,
I just combined my knitting and quilting blog and changed to your Digg3 Theme and lost some of my widgets and the ones I have left I can’t make any changes to. Can you please give me some suggestions. I’m not very tech savy so please put it in simple form and I also want to know if there’s a way to include Progress Bars for my crafting projects?
Thanks for your time.
@Hitbali: Thanks!
@eL: I can definitely work on one.
@Phyllis: Please bring your question to the forums and show me exactly what you mean. (Although, I doubt that I can help because you’re hosted on WordPress.com.)
you are the best man!!! im sure will support!
When will this be available? I could actually use this right now.
Thanks eL.
@Adam: It should be ready by Tuesday, along with the other club themes.
Hey SP, looking forward to that magazine theme.
Very clean theme. More images and video spaces definitely.
Hey SP,
Just letting you know that i’ll be joining your theme club…. but only grudgingly… I’d use it for study purposes to see where the flaws are and how to learn from it, but that would be it. I really disagree with your open attitude to money on the internet. Sure, i applaud your honesty, but you’ve kinda openly noted it a few too many times.
Cheers
Vincent
Hey SP!
First: Ignore Chris.
Second: This new theme looks great! I wouldn’t change anything about it.
Looking forward to your themes club!
Another excellent theme SP!
Would love to see some magazine themes / club magazine themes that are less ‘newsy’ and more fun. Nice arty style or something.
Eitherway, the themes look great. I wish the 23rd would hurry up!

I actually *love* this theme. I mean, I like all your themes so far, but this was the first one I really absolutely loved right off the bat.
I curious as to what Chris above meant with “your open attitude to money on the internet”.
Thanks for the compliments
@Chris: Out of all the people making money with WordPress and all the people making money online, you have a grudge against the guy starting a $5 club?
Great SP! I can’t wait to be part of your theme club. Nice work..
@chris
I can understand you, BUT you should post a comment on Adii’s forum, not here! SP is making a great job (sure Adii does at well!!!), but 5 bucks for a YEAR unlimited access to WP premium theme is a very, very fair price.
Look at SP’s free themes and compare ‘em to this theme for example:
http://www.adii.co.za/wp-content/…
Adii is charging 500 Dollars for this theme! Yes, five-hundred for this widget-ready WP theme. This is MORE than ridiculous.
See this link: http://img212.imageshack.us/…
In my opinion most of the theme prices are way too expensive.
Another example… the magazine WP themes… many for 100 bucks… some for 79 bucks…
79 or 100 bucks for a (not very special) magazine theme…
Justin Tadlock’s magazine style theme is for FREE. It looks (IMHO) BETTER than all the WP magazine styles out there… and it doesn’t cost a dime…
@SP
5 bucks a year for unlimited access is a fair price. I’m sure you will get your money because many, many people will sign up. It’s just like what BoxedArt (or whatever their name is) did years ago. They hired graphic designers, put some hundred designs up and people paid 40 bucks or so every year for unlimited access to their psd source files. They still exist and are able to survive, probaly because many, many people signed up… I’m very sure that this will happen to your theme club as well.
In 2008 most people only see the price tag… the cheaper the better… to make real money it’s probably the only way to make it as cheap as possible and wait for the masses… and the masses will sure come!
Wish you lot’s of luck, SP!!!!!
I definately sign up to your themes club
Small Potato is starting something which is good and fair for the Wordpress community
imho the sidebar need to be more narrow spaces, because it’ll too wide if there’s a lot of link
